The Frances Hensley Animal Shetler is committed to transparency in all aspects of our organization. We track shelter statistics and report data monthly to Shelter Animals Count. Data are made publically available so that all who support HSSC can see the extent of our lifesaving impact. 

Fhhas had a live release rate of 99.57% in 2018. The live release rate is total live outcomes divided by total outcomes. We are a no-kill shelter, which means that no animal is ever euthanized to make space for another. Infrequently, Fhhas must make the difficult decision to euthanize animals that have become too sick to be treated or too aggressive or behaviorally challenged to be suitable for adoption.
